Tasmania 2012 Collection - Limited Edition Prints : In early January 2012, I found myself on the beautiful island of Tasmania. It is such a magical place; filled with amazing people, places and the food is incredible. I’m torn on whether to share my love for it with the world. Part of me wants everyone to get the chance to see and experience all that Tasmania has to offer. The other part of me realizes that part of the attraction of Tasmania is the serenity found in visiting a place without the tourist hoards surrounding you. I wouldn’t want native Tasmanians to lose their laid back, friendly way of being. I feel incredibly lucky to have spent a full month exploring the varied landscapes, capturing them in photographs and experiencing all Tassie has to offer. Kangaroo Island 2012 Collection - Limited Edition Prints : Kangaroo Island is an amazing place. Australia’s third largest island is home to incredible vistas, fertile farmland and an abundance of wildlife. As you will see in this collection, I was enamoured by the varied landscapes found on KI. I spent almost a month on the island, with two weeks of that spent at Dan & Sue’s KI Olives farm. We had evenings full of great food and conversation. The Pattingale family were so welcoming and kind and I treasure my time spent with them. Dan taught me about living off the land and being self-sufficient. He took me fishing where we caught some great tasting fish including King George Whiting. The Trethewey family also welcomed me onto their farm. The boys brought me along to footy training and I got to try AFL for the first time. I watched an photographed their Parndana team take on Kingscote near the beginning of their season - great game to watch!
